Cancer

Cancer is an extremely complex disease because it has many possible causes, signs and symptoms, and potential treatment options.

The standard conventional medical treatments for cancer include surgery, radiation and/or chemotherapy.

Naturopathic Medicine can be provided as an additional therapeutic option to complement standard medical care.  It can enhance their effects and/or decrease their side effects, which include but are not limited to extreme fatigue or weakness, low energy, mouth sores, and nausea.

Naturopathic Doctors  (NDs) prepare an individualized combination of dietary and lifestyle changes, supplements, herbal medicines, acupuncture and/or intravenous nutritional therapies to help you combat your specific cancer and the side effects of your cancer treatment protocols.

The types of cancers treated by NDs include but are not limited to:

  • Brain cancer - glioblastoma
  • Skin cancer - melanoma, basal cell carcinoma
  • Thyroid cancer
  • Leukemia
  • Lymphoma
  • Lung cancer
  • Stomach cancer, colon cancer, colorectal cancer, liver cancer, pancreatic cancer
  • Kidney cancer, bladder cancer
  • Breast cancer, uterine cancer, ovarian cancer
  • Prostate cancer, testicular cancer
  • Bone cancer
  • Cancer prevention

The side effects of chemotherapy and/or radiation commonly treated by NDs include but are not limited to:

  • Fatigue.  Lethargy.  Weakness.
  • Oral ulcers.
  • Nausea.  Vomiting.
